Read Through the Bible in 2007

I encourage all of you to join many others at Walnut Street this year in following a plan to read through the Bible in 2007. Bookmarks and suggested readings are in Sunday worship bulletins.

It's nice having your Christian brothers and sisters at church with readings in common each week. They spark good discussion and we can help each other with difficult passages.

As students, many of you read a lot of books over the course of a year. Please determine to also read THE book this year. It also takes time intentionally memorizing key verses to really hide it in your heart.

It is best to start the day in the Word. Develop the habit of not feeding your body each day until you have fed your soul. No read, no feed. No Bible, no belly. You wouldn't go a day without feeding your body. Don't go a day without feeding your soul with God's Word. As you read it, pray that He will give you wisdom to understand. Then do what it says.
