Summer Study of Matthew

Join us in Bible study each Sunday morning as we walk through chapters 1-7 of the Gospel of Matthew. We meet on the 4th floor of the Main building at Walnut Street from 9:30-10:30. Most weeks begin with a mailbag grab bag of current topics for a few minutes before continuing in our study.

June 10 - the virgin birth - Matthew 1:18-25
June 17 - Jesus' birth - Matthew 2
June 24 - John the Baptist and Jesus' baptism - Matthew 3
July 1 - the temptation of Jesus - Matthew 4:1-11
July 8 - the beginning of Jesus' ministry - Matthew 4:12-17

Creation vs. Evolution Study

For the months of April & May, 2007, our Bible study on Sunday mornings was about "Creation vs. Evolution." If you missed it, you missed a lot of information in books, articles & DVDs that will help you understand more on the topic than you ever have before. Most of those resources are in the college room if you'd like to check them out. Also, you are welcome to take a copy of the book edited by Ken Ham - The New Answers Book - if you'd like one as well as other pamphlets we purchased in bulk for the study. Ham is the head of the organization Answers in Genesis from which many of our study resources came. He is also responsible for the new Creation Museum that recently opened in northern Kentucky.

The topic of creation vs. evolution has even made its way into the current presidential debates. Check out the following video of former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee responding to a question about evoultion in the June 5, 2007 Republican presidential debate:
