This year's annual spring break college mission trip took participants to Washington, D.C. and primarily to Baltimore, Maryland to work with the North American Mission Board's Embrace Baltimore project. Students going were Brittany Bizzell, Jon Gravenstreter, Andrew Huff, and Beth Davidson. Adult sponsors were Todd Robertson, Greg & Cassie Luka. The host church was Catonsville Baptist Church just outside of Baltimore.
On most Sunday mornings from January-March 2008 we studied "Terrified! How to Overcome the Fear of Sharing Your Faith" by Todd Friel, host of the radio show "Way of the Master." We listened weekly to one or two recordings of faith-sharing conversations Todd had with strangers on the street, then reflected on the conversations, growing in our own understanding of how to engage people biblically in matters of faith. If you missed the study but would like a copy of the MP3s we listened to, then come to our Bible study on Sunday morning and request your free copy of this great CD filled with 26 MP3 recordings of faith-sharing conversations with people of all ages and from all walks of life. The package also includes a little booklet to help guide you.
Throughout the spring, we are having a weekly drawing for a great Ray Comfort book The Way of the Master. This nice paperback includes a CD of Comfort's awesome sermon "Hell's Best Kept Secret." We have used numerous Ray Comfort and Way of the Master resources over the past two years. This is one of the basic texts for how to share your faith using the philosophy of "Law to the proud - grace to the humble."
